We're Home!!!

We're all home and getting used to life as a family of four!...Well I guess we are getting quite a bit of help from Grandma Muffin who has come to stay for awhile... thank goodness for Grandmas!... We're not sure what we would do without her...she even got Anna all dressed up for our arrival (jewelry compliments of Aunt Abby).. Baby Joey is doing great and is now weighing in at 6 lbs 10 ozs.... his doctor was very impressed with his 4 oz gain in just 2 days... he's taking after his big sis!

Joseph Yogi Buss: born 3:30pm 2.23.09

Our little baby boy was born this afternoon at St. Elizabeth's hospital in Lincoln. He is 19.5 inches long and tilted the scales at 7lbs 1oz. It was another record setting performance for Kristen as she only pushed a couple times. She was even giggling through the delivery, much to the dismay of some of the more seasoned RNs.

Both mother and child are feeling good and are very healthy.

As you can see this is a hairy little monkey and early indications are that he might have a few of the beautiful "cow licks" that his father was blessed with.

Big sister Anna came to visit shortly there after and was somewhat excited to meet her baby brother. Although, that excitement for Joey was soon outweighed by the cookies that her mother was so kind to share with her.

FIRST NIGHT IN BIG GIRL BED!!!!

Okay... so she did it!!!... after a few trial runs last week Anna has successfully completed an entire night in her big bed; and we mean the entire night!...we heard her in there for about a half hour or so playing with her entourage of "guys"... Anna has about 10-50 large stuffed animals and blankets that she likes to sleep with nightly and frankly she was running out of room in her crib...time to upgrade to some more square footage!... hopefully last night is a sign of things to come as she didn't try to come into our room one time...we are so proud of her!

So the big day is tomorrow ... I just taught Jake how to update the blog so you should get some information tomorrow! ... Not too late, if Anna's delivery is any indicator I plan on having this baby by early evening... although it's not really up to me!... we go in at 10am...more to come

Date is set!

Went to the doctor yesterday and we set a date for delivery!.... Monday, Feb. 23rd...although he could still come early on his own!....we'll see...I've been having mild contractions but it's so hard for me to tell if they are real or braxton hicks...Doc assures me I will know if they real...I suppose he's right, I'm not that tough... so I'll be ready "nesting" this weekend to get the house ready...maybe squeeze in a pedicure ;) ...

STILL GROWING...

Okay... here you have it...this will likely be the one and only "Belly Shot"... 38 weeks and counting...(feels like 48!)... I go to the doctor tomorrow so maybe he'll just tell me it's time...please, please.... I am so ready... did I mention I'm much larger with this baby than I was with Anna???...those nearest and dearest have been politely listening to me inform them of this fact daily... THERE IS NO MORE ROOM!

Okay... here goes... decided to start a blog as it seems to be a great way to keep up with friends and family!.. with the new baby on the way this should be a great way to keep everyone posted!

2 more weeks until delivery and we are eagerly awaiting the arrival of our little boy!!!
